Stuff your face with MAC!

Hooray! Last Thursday it was my 22nd birthday! It’s also my last week in London and my mom decided to come over for my birthday. We went shopping, ate a very yummy cake at The Hummingbird Bakery and bought my birthday gift. I’ve headed up to the MAC corner in Selfridges and asked one of the make-up artists out there to help me get a basic set. MAC is a make-up brand that was originally designed for professional make-up artists but is now being sold in stores worldwide.

I’ve always bought make-up that is ‘okay’ but I figured it was about time to get something really good. People spend way too less money on make-up, if you ask me. We use it daily and have no idea how much it can ruin the healthiness of our skin, let alone the way it looks. It has a need for attention and I found out I haven’t given it enough, so it was time to do it some justice! The MAC make-up artist tried out some colours for the foundation, powder and blusher so I finally know the right colour for my skintone now.

 

Make sure to ask advice when you buy new make-up, whichever brand it is, and don’t just try it out on your hand or something, because you can still go wrong. You don’t want to look like you’ve rolled around in Dorito’s. ;) All in all I’ve decided to buy the following set which I think is pretty much all I need to get a nice natural look! Can’t wait to try out the eyeshadows and lipsticks for the more extraordinary days. MAC has some really amazing ranges of make-up and the best thing is you can match it so perfectly together.
